International cooperation
Our main goal is to develop volleyball in the Netherlands. At the same time, we also feel a sense of responsibility for the development of the sport and its organisations in other countries. Besides that, we want to stimulate a better and healthier world by using volleyball to create social and sustainable change in the daily life of people worldwide. We do this by working together with other (volleyball) federations, NGO’s in the Netherlands and abroad, the FIVB, the CEV and the European Union, so that we can offer a volleyball programme fitting the culture of another country.

Volleyball is declared the national sport of Nepal. Differently than other sports, people play it all over the country. Even in the mystical area of the Himalayan, volleyball is popular at the highest altitudes.
The potential of (beach)volleyball in Senegal is big: the young people are tall and strong and the country has a variety of beautiful beaches. And with the first official Olympic event ahead, the Youth Olympic Games 2026, there is a momentum to invest in the development of the sport.
The main goal of Nevobo, the Dutch Volleyball Federation, is to develop volleyball in the Netherlands. At the same time, we also feel a sense of responsibility for the development of volleyball in other countries, and we work towards providing volleyball activities around the world, such as our Volleyball4Life (V4L) programme.
Nevobo has the ambition to contribute to increasing physical health among youth and including people with intellectual disabilities in sports, all through Europe and specifically in the Netherlands, Belgium, Norway, Czech and Slovenia. Therefore, we organize and contribute to the development and implementation of volleyball activities which match the needs of these groups. To reach these goals, we started the Volleyball4All project, which is made possible with the support of the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.
